Waiting...

3PM After a l-o-n-g search for our car in the parking garage (I wish I had pictures) we are headed back to the hotel for a quick nap. Got to finally see my mom...the first thing she asked was, 'how do I look?', second thing...'is there a game tonight?' I hope Frank and the boys can pull out a victory because they have one fan in ICU that needs to keep her blood pressure normal.

1PM Update...Still waiting...now at the S-ICU...thanks to the Stoecklein's and the Niernberger's for the licorice...we couldn't have made it through without it.

11:20PM Update...out of surgery..took 4 hours...everything went well...heading to the recovery room...the doctor said 6 weeks until she can golf. Life is GOOD.8:36A.M. Still waiting...Aunt Deech and Grandma Vada takin' a smoke break...ha-ha!!7:15AM They just wheeled my Mom off to surgery. She has a cyst that is pushing on her auditory nerve and brain stem and has been having horrible nausea and vomiting for four months. We are passing the time by surfing the internet and sipping coffee. We have only looked at the clock 15 times, in the first fifteen minutes. They told us the surgery would take around three hours. I will post updates here throughout the day.

I'm heading to Mimi's for supplies.. time to raise a glass in honor of Mama Jan and a speedy recovery! I think I will start making plans for "Howl at the Moon" round two...just heard that Kenny Chesney will be at the Sprint Center in May. If she can golf in six weeks by golly she'll be ready to 'howl' by then! Let her know the wheels are turning. :)

Hope recovery is fast. I know she will be a hard one to keep down! Thinking of you all while you go through this.
